My name is Samantha Petty and I am a recent graduate from the Tyler School of Art and Architecture with a focus in Graphic and Interactive design. Before I even knew what design was I was always drawn to typography, color combinations, and layout. Things that always caught my attention and I eventually started collecting were matchboxes, postcards, packaging, business cards, and posters. After I learned that I could turn my passion of design into a career I was intrigued and excited for all the opportunities graphic design as an industry had to offer. I am always open to learning new things and growing as a designer and person overall.
When I’m not designing, my favorite thing to do with friends is exploring new places throughout Philadelphia while meeting new people along the way. I also enjoy working with my hands whenever I get a chance whether it be woodworking, bookmaking, sculpture, or fibers and material studies. Lastly, I love gardening and collecting indoor plants, as I currently have forty one plants (which still isn’t enough).
