Hello & Welcome
My name is Samantha Petty, and I have been designing professionally for almost three years at my current company, Transact Campus. Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to build valuable connections and expand my design skills through a variety of print and web-based projects. In addition to focusing on internal branding, I also work with over one hundred higher education clients, helping to shape their institutional brands across multiple platforms.
My journey into design began at the Tyler School of Art and Architecture in Philadelphia, where I earned a degree in Graphic and Interactive Design. Prior to my current role, I worked as a designer at Temple University’s College of Education, where I had the opportunity to collaborate on projects that strengthened my understanding of Temple’s brand and helped me grow through mentorship from other talented designers.
Even before I knew what graphic design was, I was always drawn to typography, color, and layout — elements that consistently caught my attention. I found myself collecting things like matchbooks, postcards, packaging, business cards, and posters, fascinated by how design could tell a story and evoke emotion. When I realized that design could be a career, I was immediately excited by the endless opportunities for creativity and problem-solving that the industry offers.
What excites me most about design is its dynamic nature. No matter the concept or challenge, there are always multiple ways to approach and solve it. I am continuously learning new techniques, broadening my skillset, and growing both as a designer and as a person.
Outside of design, I love exploring new places in Philadelphia with friends and meeting new people along the way. During the warmer months, you can find me in my garden, planting flowers and caring for my koi fish. In the winter, I enjoy working with my hands—whether it's collecting indoor plants or designing spaces that bring the outdoors inside.
Thank you for visiting my portfolio! I’d love to connect & chat more about design or potential opportunities!
