The New York Book Review Editorial displays a direct connection to the article “Michael Explores the Mind-Altering Plants in His Garden” and is more abstract. I decided to choose an opened pill capsule as my main focus because pills are universally interpreted as both drugs that are prescribed and abused in the world. Through the article, Micheal explains the difference between drugs that are simply existing and people's intention with the drug. Poppy flowers and their seeds are used as an example of this as when they are legal growing in a garden but intentions with the seeds can become illegal.
