How to Booklet

Art Director | Monica Brodovsky

The How to Booklet explores layout and illustration to communicate how to make linocut prints from start to finish. While illustrating the tools used in this process I wanted to go for a clean vector style with a color code system. While looking through each spread I wanted the viewer to be able to go back to the table of contents and be able to differentiate each tool from another easily enough to avoid any confusion while following the directions given.

The biggest challenge I faced while working on this project was troubleshooting how to illustrate actions in a way that was direct enough for a How to Booklet while also exploring interesting layouts and scenes.
